This 12 key tongue drum has a Padauk sound board and is tuned to a chorded C Major with a chord progession of I - V - iv - IV).  The drum is divided into 4 chorded quadrants: C Major, G Major, A minor, and F Major.  The result is a very harmonic, warm, and melodic combination of notes.  The notes on this drum are C, E, G / G, B, D / A, C, E / F, A and C.  Some notes are repeated on this drum but they are not the same because they are in different octaves. 12 notes, 12 different sounds.  Beautiful drum.  Great tone from this Padauk hardwood.
